Downtown Portland Coordinator

Jennifer Baradwaj

​Jenny is a process engineer at Intel in the Logic Technology Development group. She has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida. Jenny previously helped serve on the SWE CRS board for Outreach in FY22 and continues to be involved in STEM outreach in the Portland area. She is looking forward to connecting further with the Portland SWE community by serving as the new M&G coordinator for the Portland downtown area. She lives in NW Portland with her husband and cat. She loves hiking, traveling, and exploring new Portland restaurants.

South I-5 Coordinator

Laura Kramer

Laura has a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell and currently works at 3D Systems in Wilsonville supporting new material development. Prior to that, she worked at HP in Corvallis on a variety of different products including integrated circuits, inkjet printheads, and specialty ink development. She held many positions in the Willamette Valley SWE section and has hosted the South I-5 M&G since moving to Portland and joining the Columbia River section.

Jennifer Kootstra

​Jennifer Kootstra is a retired Mechanical Engineer and a UC Berkeley grad. She spent most of her career at Hewlett-Packard in McMinnville, OR, and Roseville, CA. While in Roseville she was very active in the local SWE section. She served as Section Treasurer from 1998 through 2008, as well as Newsletter Editor from 1998 to 2002 and Communication Committee Chair in 2001 & 2002. Because of all this, she was awarded the Region A Service Award in its inaugural year. She had a one-year stint as Region A Treasurer as well. In 2011 she moved from California to Clark County, WA, and in 2012 she took over as Region J Treasurer. She held that position until 2018 when the Regions dissolved. She is currently the Meet and Greet Coordinator for the Vancouver area and has been since 2017. Jennifer splits her volunteer time between SWE-CRS, Girl Scouts in Roseville, the Clark County Master Gardeners, and Master Food Preservers. She lives on 2.5 acres in Battle Ground, WA with her retired Electrical Engineer husband, growing food to enjoy and can. Her daughter, Zoe, is a Chemical Engineer from UW working at Intel in Aloha, OR, and living in Portland.
